Horses have been part of the Brookfield Show since local farmers established an agricultural show in the early 20th century.

The Horse Event at the Brookfield Show is regarded as one of the most prestigious horse events in Australia due to smooth organisation of the events  & the presentation of the ring and its stewards.

The Brookfield Show now boasts three full days of equestrian events, including District Day on the Friday. This is open only to local riders, owners and horses and has been the career launching pad for many young members of the Brookfield Horse and Pony Club.

Entries accepted on the day in the ring centre from 7:00am.

For the first time, the Brookfield Show will feature classes for riders with disabilities, on Friday the 17th of May. It’s open to riders from outside the district, and consists of both led, ridden and smartest on parade classes.
