BROOKFIELD SHOW FOR 2024 IS SET FOR 17-19 MAY.
Brookfield Show is Brisbane’s biggest little country show, held in May each year, celebrating the very best of regional and metro agriculture. In 2024 the Show will be on from 17 – 19 May.
Since Brookfield Show’s expansion to a multi-day format, numbers have continued to grow to now be greater than 18,000.
Activities begin on Thursday evening, when the winners of competitions in art and photography are announced.
Throughout the three-day event, pavilions open from 9am. Visitors are encouraged to peruse the art, photography, horticulture, woodwork, cookery as well as the dog, cookery and guinea pig entries.
Friday is known as ‘District Day’ as the horse events are limited to local riders, horses and owners. Many look forward to the rodeo held on Friday evening with local residents flocking to Brookfield Members’ Bar for Happy Hour and live music.
The festivities continue on Saturday and Sunday with a full program including equestrian ring events, community performances, wood chopping demonstrations, performance dogs, workshops, roving entertainers and reptile displays, pig races and sideshow entertainment.
Live music is held on Friday and Saturday and concludes with fireworks on Sunday.
