Due to increased public concern and in response to the Prime Minister and COAG’s direction we regret to say that the 2020 Brookfield Show will not go ahead.

While this is disappointing, the safety and well-being of our members, volunteers, competitors and visitors is the predominating concern.

We appreciate that the cancellation of the Show is a huge disappointment for our Show community, including stewards and volunteers who have already contributed so much effort, competitors who have been working for months on their exhibits and visitors who see Brookfield Show as a highlight of their year.

The last cancellation was during the war years and we especially regret the need for cancellation during our 110 th anniversary. It is also especially concerning for entertainers and stall holders who depend on such events for their livelihood.

We will be in contact with those who have purchased tickets and exhibitors as soon as possible.

There may be small scale events held in the next few months. Additionally, at this stage the Long Lunch will go ahead and we look forward to this event.

You will find regular updates on the Brookfield Showgrounds website.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as our team works through the difficulties and disappointment of cancelling an event and look forward to an especially great show in 2021.
